How to launch a SaaS in Italy through the right creators.
A creator campaign should not start with follower counts. It should start with one question: which audience already has the problem your product solves?
1. Start from the problem, not from the creator.
Many campaigns begin by searching for the largest available creator. For SaaS products, this can be inefficient. A smaller creator whose audience repeatedly faces the same workflow problem may generate more qualified interest than a much larger generalist channel.
Before selecting a creator, define the problem in plain language. Examples might include saving time on repetitive tasks, improving sales follow-up, creating presentations faster or automating reporting.
2. Choose creators for fit, not reach.
Good fit means the product can appear naturally inside the creator's existing content. The audience should already care about the underlying problem, and the creator should be credible when demonstrating the solution.
- Audience relevance matters more than raw subscriber count.
- Practical demonstrations often outperform generic sponsorship reads.
- A creator should be able to explain the value without forcing the product into the content.
3. Use a small pilot before scaling.
For a first entry into the Italian market, a small measurable test is often more useful than a large sponsorship commitment. A pilot can reveal whether the positioning resonates, whether the creator-product fit is correct and which message converts.
Does the audience engage? Do users take a measurable action? Is the economics attractive enough to repeat?
4. Track outcomes, not just views.
Views can be useful, but they are not the end goal. Whenever possible, use referral links, affiliate tracking, UTM parameters or dedicated landing pages to measure clicks, trials, qualified leads and subscriptions.
5. Improve the content using what the first test teaches you.
The first campaign is also a research tool. Comments, questions, click-through rates and conversions reveal which parts of the product resonate with the audience. That information can be used to improve future creator selection, content angles and product messaging.
Why Italy can be a useful test market.
For international SaaS companies, Italy can offer an interesting middle ground: a meaningful digital market with many professional and creator niches that are less saturated than the largest English-speaking markets. The opportunity is not simply translation. It is local relevance.
